SIX FEET UNDER Singer: GEORGE BUSH Gets Off On Killing People

September 4, 2003

SIX FEET UNDER frontman Chris Barnes recently spoke to Pitriff.com about his views on the last U.S. Presidential election. "I didn't vote for [Al] Gore, I'll be the first one to say that," he said. "But I'll tell you what. If the Democrats were still in… Listen, what did we have to worry about when Clinton was in office? Him getting a blowjob? He gets off on sex. I'd rather have someone in office getting off on sex than getting off on killing people, and George Bush is known to do that. He's enjoyed killing people in Texas on death row, and now he's going and killing people over there, and no one really gives a fuck. Let's be realistic about it and not just take one point of view. I don't think there's too much difference between the Democrats and the Republicans, but what I do know is that election was fixed. It's obvious. It's so obvious that people are afraid to question."

When asked why he thinks that people didn't challenge the election results, Barnes said, "[It was] because Republicans have such a stronghold in our country right now that it's a one party system, if you look at it. I don't think there's any way to foil that, really. Even when the Democrats are going after them heavy, it's still a situation where the Democrats are just a lighter version of the Republicans. I can handle that, but I can't handle fascism disguised as democracy. As we are right now, we are basically a monarchy. This is the son of a former president. That's basically royalty in office. You've got someone that is going out into foreign lands that are weaker than us and taking their natural resources. That's not what this country is built upon. This country is against that from the beginning. Our constitution was built against any kind of foreign government ruling from a distant shore and overtaxing us and taking our natural resources. So that's basically it. He's marred our country, and that's where I stand on it."
